The Bible and Food

Tonight’s Menu:  Wisconsin cheese and crackers, Australian Meat Pies with lots of vegemite, Mashed Potatoes with lots of garlic, Green Salad with multi-colored carrots and for dessert Chocolate Chip Cookies with Ice-cream.


The family who typically hosts our Friday night study has been out of town so I’ve been cooking for the crew the past few weeks.  Although I love entertaining, cooking for a group of people every week is a big undertaking.  I’m so appreciative of the friend who normally cooks for us.  She’s been preparing meals for the Bible study faithfully for almost 5 years.

Food is such an amazing part of our fellowship.  It’s wonderful to be able to be with friends, learn more about God’s word and discuss theology.  Tonight we will be starting Revelation and enjoying a bit of Australia.
